IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM VE ELECTION INSPECTORS
In order to be in compliance with the following requirements in the unregistered 2010 CC&Rs which state:
“Article 3. Member in Good Standing. Each member is entitled to one vote per lot given that the owner is a “Member in Good Standing”. A Member is Good standing is one who is current in all debts to the Valle Escondido Homeowners’ Association. It is the responsibility of the Election Inspector(s) to determine the eligibility of voting members. This must be done twenty-five (25) prior to the close of the election.”
The following Election Inspectors, authorized by the President the VEHOA, have determined that each member of the VEHOA is a “Member in Good Standing” and that each member is entitled to one vote per lot for the votes to be held at the legally and properly called General Assembly meeting scheduled for January 10, 2015 and January 12, 2015. All lots/properties/units must have title and untitled owners cannot vote.
This determination was made based upon the fact that there are valid concerns regarding the VEHOA attorney’s claim that the current SC is illegal and that this illegal group has moved the financial records in violation of Panamanian law. Without unrestricted access to our financial books, and full cooperation from the “current” SC, the election inspectors cannot evaluate which members are current in their debts to determine the eligibility of voting members on this basis.

you have members that have not paid their dues in 2 years, how can they be in good standing. Is that not insulting to all the Homeowners who pay their dues on time???
Maybe yo do not post this because it goes against your site, but you cannot allow a non paying member to vote, nor can you allow the chinese condo owners who do not have titles nor pay dues to vote
I expect as I assume we all do, that this election is to be held and be conducted without the past obvious efforts to preclude some homeowners from casting their votes. No last minute changes to control who can vote.
Most importantly, as a result, we will finally have a legal Steering Committee elected by the Homeowners. Regardless of where one stands relative to the existing issues within our community, every homeowner deserves a voice in deciding who is to represent the community. To me, the two most important elements to come from this election are; One we have a legal Steering Committee and secondly that a majority of the community decide who that is to be. Everyone needs to vote, you and I must decide who is to take the reins on solving the differences in our beautiful Valle and move forward in the transfer of the infrastructure and repairing neglected areas such as roads, water and security.
To whomever is upset about letting everyone vote regardless of past dues oweed, what is your solution? Currently we have an illegal SC, as claimed by the VEHOA attorney they hired, who took all the financial documents out of the VEHOA office, as claimed by the SC chairman, which is also completely illegal. The treasurer, Jeannie Bell, has skipped town, and the no one left behind to run things is offering any help to make this so important General Assembly meeting a success. How in your opinion are the election inspectors going to determine who is in good standing based upon past due balances? I am sure that if the current illegal group in power wanted to cooperate, by providing verified documents, to make this determination, the election inspectors would be more than happy to comply. The intention of the this GA is to solve issues by having the homeowners decide. No one is being excluded from running or from promoting a platform they believe in.
The facts are that the current SC is illegal and anyone arguing that is just plain ignorant and has a personal agenda. First we have Carol Bruner, who has not stepped foot in VE for over a year, who has already admitted that she was appointed to a SC position where the person she replaced never resigned nor was any resignation for that person ever accepted. On top of that, you can only be appointed to that position if the resigning member votes with the majority of the SC for his/her replacement. He never knew anything about Ms. Bruner's "appointment" and has signed an affidavit to these facts. I guess it is OK because the SC apologized. It does not work that way!
Then we have Jeannie Bell who resigned on three separate occasions with a copy of her most recent resignation available for all to view on an earlier blog post. Once you resign you cannot just come back especially not three times as there is a process. It does not work that way.
Then we have the appointment of Pat Mains where the current SC admits in writing that they took the vote of the spouse of a SC member as they were trying something new. It does not work that way!
They also admitted using the vote of Michael Traynor as an alternate. There is no such thing as an alternate in any of the CC&Rs whether they are deed 1937 or 2010. It does not work that way!
This all is so completely illegal yet somehow these power hungry people listed above actually claim that they were duly "elected" and have legitimacy.
How can anyone in their right mind not see that the current and past activities of this SC have been completely outside of the rules.
It's obvious that Carol Bruner and her self-appointed SC will refuse to surrender their hold on the VEHOA. What is it about being in the SC that makes these women hang on to the door? Are they hiding a dark secret from the membership that could put them behind bars or cost them heavy financial retributions? After all, there are missing funds that they cannot or refuse to account for. They claim that their refusal to step down from their lofty positions is for the good of the community. Excuse me? I will decide who's going represent me and not have their group force themselves down my throat.
Let us not allow these scumbags play their games and let us proceed with our GA and vote them out. They have done nothing but create chaos in VE. Their presence have brought toxicity to this once peaceful and tranquil community.
We must all act in unity and force to boot the Bill Day group out of power. They have already wasted enough of our funds -- we have to put a stop to their free spending. They must be stopped at all cost.
HOMEOWNERS UNITE! IT IS TIME TO TAKE OUR VALLEY BACK AND KEEP THE STICKY FINGERS OUT OF OUR COOKIE JAR.
